Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about growing up within "a the white bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on the parenting style of her adopted children who are multi-racial. In an interview, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her body didn't matter to her, however, after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of the stark differences the two were. "I asked Meg what she thought about being that she was treated differently when going out with us parents than when she went out on her own. She replied "Oh, yes, every moment!" Heigl told parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had resulted in me feeling." Heigl said she got frustrated and thought she needed to channel her anger towards helping the adopted children she has. Heigl is engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion in 2009.
